One of the biggest “messes” in our house is our movie and game collection
. Someone will put a DVD or game into the player, and leave the case some place and forget where. When it comes time to switch movies or games, the original case is missing, so the discs pile up beside the machine…
It’s a bit of a pet peeve of mine, so I thought of something creative to do to help keep things a little m
ore organized.
So, just a simple “plate stand” that I picked up for $1.49 at our local dollar store, plus a little graphic I made up (pasted onto some cardboard for a temporary prototype), and voilà! Now I have a DVD/CD/Game stand and no more searching for that empty case!
Even Hubby likes using it and he gladly made room on our entertainment unit for it.
Eventually, I’ll find a more permanent way for attaching the “Now Playing” sign, but the cardboard backing will suffice for the time being.
