A day late, again! But important things were happening yesterday.

This is probably one of the best exercises for getting into the habit of just writing. Everyone is welcome to play along. Here are the rules:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back to Lisa-Jo and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

OK, are you ready? Please give me your best five minutes on:::

Stretch…

I’ve felt everything change inside and out twice before. But this third time was different. The changes came sooner. After only discovering the week before that we were expecting again, I lamented to my husband that my tummy was already protruding more than it had at 5 months pregnant with our first child. His lovely response was “Your body already knows what to do. Just let it.”

And truth to be told, I don’t mind the stretch marks when my stomach sticks out with the growing baby. I don’t mind the aches and pains that much in the midst of pregnancy. It’s easier for me to accept it, when I know we’re anticipating the arrival of this new bundle of joy.

I haven’t posted a lot of bump pictures yet because until yesterday, we didn’t know how far along we were exactly. The family doctor likes to go by first day of last menstruation, and even though we had a negative pregnancy test in the middle, he put us almost a week and a half ahead of where we actually are. An ultrasound yesterday morning was able to narrow things down al title more (and I was closer than our family doctor!).

According to yesterday’s scan, we’re at 10 weeks and 6 days today. That puts us with an estimated due date of March 10, 2013. And in the meantime, I will stretch all the more as this baby grows.

And more than just my physical stretching, our family will stretch too. This will be baby number three, and with his or her arrival will come many other changes too.

That’s lovely. My daughter is expecting number 3 and due March 17th. She couldn’t understand why she has the “baby bump” so early. We were wondering “twins?” I birthed 3 babies and remember number 3 stretched me early too. Funny. Congratulations and hope we connect once again. Blessings, Jan

I remember when pregnant with my first, I met a woman pregnant with her fourth. At three months, she looked more pregnant than I did at 8 months! It’s probably a good thing that our bodies get used to stretching :) Thank you!

Congratulations! Every stretch is so worth the beauty of the precious creation growing inside you, each making it’s glorifying mark. :)
